![]() ![]() I get tracking confirmation they received it, and then nothing. not to send me a replacement, id accept a refund only. Put in an RMA and by the time id done that id assembled 2 pages of links to threads showing it had issues and high failure rates, shipped it back to them (at my cost) and told them, given the failure rates. ive never seen thermal compound turn to liquid before, it was just let go completely.sounded like the impeller disintegrated.rattly noises on boot one day. I bought my 240R (v1, they just launched a v2 -dunno if this resolves the failure and high temp issues - does include the LGA1700 mount though) late last year, and within 3 months it was dead, nearly killing my PC in the high heat here with 85c+ temps all of a sudden. I had to pay $20 to ship the water cooler to them. One of my 200mm top exhaust fans also sounds a bit rough occasionally, assuming it's on its way out as well. Either a fan is failing or something is loose and vibrating. One of the fans on the cooler was also failing, making a bunch of noise, AND hitting the fan shroud or radiator. Then my water cooler pump fails after less than 2 months. I sent 2 service tickets asking for a another set of case panels so I could modify without destroying the originals, and they wouldn't do it. I had to remove the front and top panels to keep the pc from freaking melting. Or they literally did NO testing whatsoever. They must have known this case was garbage and still shipped to market. Like if you bought a new car and the radiator/cooling system was purely decorative, and you had to remove the hood and front bumper just to drive it. Case is a Sekira 500x, literally among the worst airflow of any modern pc case. ![]() All the risk that comes with it for a couple degrees lower temps doesn't seem worth it.Īll in all this prebuilt pc from MSI was a horrible purchase. So for me.I don't see the benefit of a water cooler at all. Highest I've seen in the past few weeks is maybe 53 degrees. Shortly after install my temps were still fluctuating a bit more than I thought was normal, and occasionally I'd spike to almost 60 degrees, but I'm guessing the paste has settled or cured and now they're pretty consistent. Installed Thermalright Frost Spirit, Grizzly paste, and gaming max settings 1440 I'm in the high 40's. So far my cpu temps are negligibly higher than with the 240r. Air cooler isn't going to break and cause overheating. I figured I'd see how temps were and if they were decent I would just stick with the air cooler, maybe sell the water cooler or save it for a backup or something. I didn't want to wait weeks/months for a replacement and be without my pc so I bought an air cooler to install before I shipped it out. I shipped my 240r, they've received it, still waiting on a determination. ![]()
